Timothy Brisson
As a businessperson, husband, and father of three, Tim understands the complexities of business and personal financial planning. His top priority is to enhance the lives and financial futures of those with whom he works. Tim believes in long-term relationships built around trust and honest, open communication. He has advised individuals, as well as large corporations, and specializes in helping simplify what seems complex. Tim began his career in 1989 as an associate of Northeast Planning Associates, Inc. Tim provides comprehensive financial planning on a fee basis. He has experience in retirement planning, investment planning, college funding and estate planning. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1989 with a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and Marketing. Tim earned his Certified Annuity Specialist and Certified Fund Specialist designations through the Institute of Business and Finance in La Jolla, California, and his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is also a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, designated through the National Association of Life Underwriters. A qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, he also holds the following securities registrations with LPL Financial: Series 6, 7, 63 and 65. Active in his community and his profession, he is Past President of the VT Chapter of the American Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Milton Business Association and the Colchester-Milton Rotary International Club. He served on the board of the Milton Family Community Center and is a former Cub Master of Pack 643 in Milton. Tim helped found and was the first President of Business 2 Business Vermont. He also coached and was Head of the Milton Youth Football Program. Tim and his wife Robin reside in Milton, Vermont. They have three adult sons and two grandchildren. Their oldest son, Ryan, is the CEO and President of American Ancestors/New England Historic Genealogical Society in Boston. Middle son, Connor, is a financial planner and has partnered with Tim since joining NPA in 2020. Connor was formerly an advisor with Wells Fargo and is a graduate of the University of Vermont. Youngest son, Kiernan, is an Internal Wholesaler II with Jackson National working in Nashville and formerly a reporter for WCAX in Burlington, VT. |
